SERHII MOROZOV

Pianist Serhii Morozov holds his Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Moscow State Conservatory, Russia (1998), and his Doctor of Musical Art degree in Piano Performance from the University of Maryland in College Park (2003). Serhii won the First Prizes on the following piano competitions in the United States: Bartok-Kabalevsky-Prokofiev International Piano Competition in Radford, Virginia; Five Towns Music and Art Piano Competition in Hewlett, New York; W. Byrd International Piano Competition in Flint, Michigan and Baltimore Music Club Piano Competition in Towson, Maryland. He also won the Third Prizes on The World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, Ohio; Mary Graham Lasley Concerto Competition in Alexandria, Virginia and International Piano Competition “Premio Pausylipon” in Naples, Italy.

Serhii appeared as guest artist and jury member at the 21st Bartok-Kabalevsky-Prokofiev International Piano Competition and Festival. He also adjudicated the Baltimore Music Club Piano Competition in 2011 and 2012, in addition to his work as a judge at several local piano competitions, organized by Maryland State Music Teachers Association and Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association. He performed recitals at: Aronoff Art Center and Queen City Club of Cincinnati, Ohio; Arts Club of Washington, DC and Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland, as well as at many local venues of Washington, DC and Baltimore.

Serhii appeared as a soloist with Flint Symphony, Michigan and the World Symphony of Cincinnati, Ohio. He also made numerous appearances with several orchestras in Ukraine. Dr. Morozov performed recitals in major venues in Ukraine and Russia, as well as in concert halls of Italy, Belgium, Portugal and Greece. . In 2012-2014, Dr. Morozov was an adjunct piano professor at Towson University, Maryland. At present, Serhii continues intensive performing as a soloist and collaborating with other musicians.
